如同先前出版的三本書一般，本書的創作者潔拉．希克斯以簡潔的線條結合鮮明的色彩，精準表現比利對於牙刷的抗拒。難能可貴的是，作者以「孩童」的角度創作，寫出孩子的心聲。並且以精心安排的轉折，讓孩子在故事進行中思考，也給親子一個適切且充滿歡笑的空間，討論並且建立生活常規。

潔拉．希克斯（Zehra Hicks）

對於童書界而言，潔拉．希克斯是個令人期待、興奮的新面孔。她於英國切爾西的藝術與設計學院修習書籍插畫的課程，擁有諾桑比亞大學授予的第一級現代藝術榮譽學位；此外，她也曾獲得2009年的麥克米倫童書插畫獎項肯定。受專業的平面設計背景影響，她擅長線條簡潔的創作風格。目前她和先生及兩個孩子居住於英國。
